A Rare Family I Found In Dubai

Friends are one of the most important people on earth. They give unique experiences, makes you laugh, share crazy stories and most of all gives you lessons either good or bad. However, some will stay and others will go and what makes it important is all the memories you have had shared with them.

I'm not really good in expressing feelings but I will try my best because I wanted to leave something special for all of my crazy friends at NSG.

Today they all probably know that in no time I will start and open a new chapter of my life and of course I will still be a call, whatsapp, bbm, facebook, path, twitter, myspace, friendster away (whatever social media you are active - i'm on it). That doesn't end the circle of friendship.

The thought of leaving makes me feel sad but what makes my spirit lift up is the idea and the privilege to have had bump to all of them. They all have showed me that there is comfort away from my comfort zone.

Zyra - You have been the most patient, caring and sweet person to all of us. You have taught me so much. It's amazing how you show professionalism at all times. I really admire your cheerful personality and I am sad to not being able to work with you anymore but I am more than happy to meet someone who deserves a bow and a standing ovation. You are the light that never goes out for us Researchers. I salute you for being you!

Jen - I admire your strong spirit and I believe that it will take you far towards your dreams. Stop being too grumpy sometimes instead apply your label as "The Queen that can't be bothered". I will miss your voice Rudy!

Ella - Thanks for being my TL -  you have done your job very well and for looking after us. Keep the postive side glowing. I know life's a bitch but you will get to where you wanted eventually!

Lizette - I will miss our little talks about life Madame Lizette - you are one of the coolest mama I've met. I wish that you will find your true happiness in time. We are still young so keep exploring!

Eds - You know fairy tales do come true right? So flaunt it girl :) Will miss my crying buddy! Remember you can call me anytime for crying sessions alright?

Abby - Shame we only had a short time to know each other - Zyra's right you have the skill and talent to make people happy so don't stop doing it! You are one true gem :)

Richel - Keep smiling keep your positive vibes going and soon you will be where you wanted to be! Remember there are so many fish in the sea! :P

Michael - The Boy version of Janel :) Glad you have your family here na - regards nlng kay Janel

Jayr - Oh I will miss "Tablit" so much haha and his killer smile! Thanks for being an additional clown to the team.

Kyle - keep the ball rolling Ely hehe Dropby ka na man sa bahay to visit Ricky

JC - I see you 5 years from now to be a famous Dance instructor (Life is short so get wasted) haha

Ace -  I will miss you cuddly papa bear! I will ask Ricky when we will break up haha Thanks for the coffee treat :)

Andrew - I really enjoyed listening to your barbero conversation that I surely will miss

I love you all guys! It's been a great pleasure meeting you all :)
Thank you for being a part of my life.

In case I don't see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night!
Adieu mes amis!!

The Face Shop | Aqua Proof Marker Tint

I will give a shot for my first ever makeup review. Been thinking lately of sharing my favorite stuff on the internet so why not blog about it right?

So here's how the story goes:

A dear friend of mine, Abby recommended me this cute little product. One day in our office toilet I noticed her applying  what looked like a pen marker on her lips.

I was so amazed that she let me try it out. After that in I suddenly have the urge to just go straight to the shop and quickly grab one.

I like the way it blended on my lips and it stays on for the whole day but it wears a bit when I eat.

You can get this product in any Face Shop outlets. I got mine from Deira City Center for 47 dirhams.

Will update this with photo wearing this product :)

How to find old tweets

I suddenly remembered and wondered what my first tweet was. With the help of Google and askaaronlee. I found out by simply following these steps:

1. On Twitter, go to Settings
2. Click request your archives
3. Check the email you used to register your account on twitter
4. Click download
5. Unzip the file you’ve download.
6. Once you’ve unzip, you’ll notice several folders. Simply open the file called “index.html” and you're done!

So here's my first ever tweet...

What's your first tweet?!

K9 Friends: Adopt a rescue dog in Dubai

Do you love dogs? Do you have the heart to take care and foster rescued dogs? Can you handle responsibilities? Are you interested to own one?  If so, there's  a big chance that you will be able to find one.

K9 Friends is a running a non-profit making, voluntary organisation in Dubai located in Jebel Ali.

We are so grateful to have been a part of their good service in protecting stray dogs. I am very impressed with their genuine affection and dedication.

We adopted "Dobbie", a 6 years old pug. He's been with us for almost a year now. He's a sweet beautiful thing that lights up our mood. When we first got him he seemed very anxious however as time passes he's more confident knowing that he won't be abandoned again.

Priceless is the term I used whenever I see him greeting me every time I arrive home.

For more information on how you can own one you can visit K9's website.

MacFarlane's English Teaching & Editing Solutions | Dubai | UAE

Dubai's economy is regaining it's feet from the previous years of recession. I have read some news about new businesses opening their doors to welcome applicants varying from different fields - a great news for job seekers.

I have been living in Dubai for more than a year and have noticed that the most common available jobs are in the field of hospitality. Obviously because of the fast growth of commercialism in the city and the never ending constructions of new hotels and skyscrapers - therefore it needs manpower. From receptionist to service staff, one important requirement is to must have an excellent English communication skill.

Yes! One can land a job just by having an average or below average English skills. However, I believe everyone is entitled to grow and prosper on their jobs right? Isn't it a great feeling to possess such confidence at your job where you can apply proper English any where and any time.

English is my second language but sometimes I consider it as my primary language because most of the time I feel comfortable expressing and find some of my native dialect hard to use.

Aside from learning at school, I am exposed to English television programs which makes me feel grateful for the Americans for colonizing the Philippines. According to mapsofworld.com and wiki.answers.com, Philippines ranked third of the list of countries who speak English.

There are 76.2 million people who speak English in the Philippines. There are 120 to 175 different languages spoken here, many being native tribal languages. Spanish was the official language for a good period of time going back to the Spanish occupation. However, after the United States occupied the country after World War II, English did begin to replace Spanish. A dialogue of one of the native languages of Tagalog was later declared a co-primary language along with English. This language later became known as Filipino. As a result, the total number of English speakers is quite high at 78%. www.omgtoplists.com

I'm not yet confident when I put English into writing and sometimes I lost thought of the right words to use. My English skill isn't excellent neither bad but I'm getting there slowly at a time. Since I started blogging it opened my eyes for what have been broad opportunities of what this important skill can do. I wanted to widen my knowledge in learning proper English and the proper way of writing.

I am so grateful to have been one of the students of Seonaid MacFarlane at MacFarlane's English Teaching & Editing Solutions.

I just finished my first exercise book and find the tools very useful especially business terms. With the right tools such as audio file where I am able to listen before I answer the exercises gives me more advantage to easily understand the topic. Just what I needed for the introduction of Business English. I will try to keep you updated with the progress of the course through my twitter @findmeabreak.

Anyone interested to take a class in Dubai or in need of editing? You can follow MET on twitter for updates or email her at seon_macfarlane@hotmail.com

Website will launch pretty soon.

WATCH: Footage of the elusive deep-sea oarfish

I wonder how many undiscovered species living in the deepest darkest ocean. Trying to hide from the surface of the earth. Countless surreal animals like the one in the film Life of Pi where they lit up at night like neon lights.

I really find this topic interesting. Lochness monster is perhaps a creation of human mind however I believe that there are some hard to explained things that are true despite the theories and lack of proof.

Pappa Roti in Dubai Mall

What a perfect way to reward your self from a stressful week for a blended coffee and a roti.

"It all begins from the moment you sink your teeth into the outer layer of the bun. The sound that follows every crunch defines the basis of our philosophy of seeking perfection in every bite. The crispy layer on top of our bun comes from a creamy topping that has been created with only the finest flour and omega-3 eggs. To ensure that every inch of our bun is covered in this secret topping recipe, our staffs are trained to apply the topping in beautiful concentric circles. The look of our pre-baked buns covered with the coffee caramel topping is a sight that has been often photographed. We believe that the process is as important as the result and you will often see our staff meticulously applying the topping to our buns before serving it to you freshly baked from the oven." - PappaRoti Cafe
